Hands-on with the Sony a7 IV. Back when we reviewed the Sony a7 III in 2018, it changed our perception of what a 'basic' full-frame mirrorless camera model was capable of. With solid image quality, autofocus, video features and battery life, it was truly a jack-of-all trades that we thought would be a great fit for all kinds of photographers.

Summary and Recommendations. The most obvious difference between the Sony a7 IV and the Sony a7S III is the resolution of the sensor. While the Sony a7 IV has a 32.7 megapixel sensor, the Sony a7S III has just 12 megapixels. That’s a meaningful difference, especially if you plan to make large prints or you ever need to crop extensively!

On-Camera Flash for Sony a7 IV. Feb 26, 2022. I just ordered a Sony a7 IV body + Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens combo. I'm now looking for a reliable, 100% compatible on-camera flash for this combo (i.e. that will cover the 24-105mm range, as a minimum) without any shadows in the pics when the lens is fully extended.
View at Best Buy. Best 50mm for almost everyone. The Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 is the lens that is most suited to most Sony shooters, impressively light and compact, but not compromising one bit on optical quality, this lens is almost perfect when it comes to sharpness in the center. Best super-telephoto zoom.
